A dissolution of marriage is Ohio's version of an uncontested divorce, designed for parties who agree on all key issues and jointly petition to terminate their marriage through the court.

Unlike traditional divorce, dissolution is generally collaborative and faster, often taking considerably less time and costing significantly less than contested proceedings.
